Union Industries, the UK’s leading manufacturer of bespoke industrial roller doors, has secured repeat business from a historic Hertfordshire bakery firm.
Leeds-based Union first supplied and installed two of its Bulldoors at Dorringtons in Sawbridgeworth in 2005.
Bosses at the bakery were so pleased with the quality and longevity of these external doors, which are on external openings to the finished goods area, that they looked no further than Union Industries for a door for its latest project.
This has involved the manufacture and installation of a Matadoor from the Union range that separates a packing area from a production area following the installation of new bread ovens.
The door has been tailormade for a tight space in a light wash down area and is operated by a mushroom push button and ceiling mounted pull cords.

Identifying the best way forward and making the right environmentally and ethically sustainable choices is challenging. Our Roadmap to Sustainability is designed to help members move in the right direction, whatever their starting position.”

The long-term effects of working on your knees can cause a lifetime of discomfort and restricted movement. Even the most innocuous bumps to the knees can result in reduced working efficiency and time off work.
Snickers Workwear’s Kneegguard™ PRO system is the market-leading solution to those problems.
Buyers of cleaning and hygiene products need to beware providers offering low-cost solutions”, explained Lorcan Mekitarian, chair of the Cleaning & Hygiene Suppliers Association (CHSA). “Against the backdrop of the escalating cost of raw materials and energy, those reducing prices are likely to be cutting corners. The only way buyers can guarantee they what they pay for is to look for the CHSA Accreditation Scheme mark.
