First impressions count, and can begin before people even see if an office is clean. The sense of smell is the strongest of the five senses and one of the body’s front-line defence mechanisms, designed to set off alarm bells if a foul smell is detected. According to research, 75% of all emotions generated each day are due to smell, and we are therefore 100 times more likely to remember something we smell over anything we hear, see, or touch. A bad smell is a warning of a bad experience to come.

Herald Introduces Fully Compostable Cups
Quality disposables manufacturer and supplier, Herald has launched a selection of 100 per cent compostable hot cups as part of its environmentally-friendly range – with both double and ripple wall options.
Supplying to meet the increased demand from the catering and food to go sectors, for fully sustainable and greener products, Herald has prioritised providing an additional ripple wall option, not commonly offered in a completely compostable form, along with a selection of sizes. DEFRA to grow its fleet of Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Commercial vehicles to 96
The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) is growing its fleet of Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Commercial vehicles as it strives to lower its transport emissions and set a positive example for other fleet operators.
Having originally ordered 16 vehicles in April 2020, the ministerial department then increased its order by another 20 vehicles before recently upping that number by another 60 vehicles, bringing its total order of Mitsubishi Outlander PHEVs to 96, of which are taking the place of a fleet of diesel vans.
Mitsubishi Electric launches modular R32 e-series chiller
Mitsubishi Electric has launched an R32 version of its popular e-series chillers, available in 150kW and 180kW units. The e-series allows up to six units to be connected together to provide a total system capacity of up to 1080kW. The new modular chiller is available in both cooling only and heat pump variations and comes with a five-year warranty.

Apprenticeship schemes flourish at phs
More than 150 people have signed up to boost their skills as part of the apprenticeship programmes offered by facilities services provider phs Group.
The phs apprenticeship programmes are designed to nurture talent, upskill individuals within the company and boost career progression. Over 120 employees have enrolled in a phs apprenticeship over the last 12 months, with 30 more already scheduled to start in 2021.
