Signarama
Companies and organisations need clear and appropriate signage in order to attract customers and to help visitors navigate their way through their building or premises. When the London Borough of Hillingdon wanted to roll out their new corporate identity they commissioned leading sign manufacturer SIGNARAMA. Before starting the project, SIGNARAMA undertook a full survey of the Borough’s existing internal and external signage.
The new branding is a green wave on a white background and incorporates the London Borough of Hillingdon’s crest. One of the first times the new branding was used was on the sign announcing the development of the new Hillingdon Sports and Leisure Centre, due for completion this autumn. The sign features a digital print of the scaled model of the proposed development and this combined with the size of the sign, (5m x 3.5m) made it one of the most challenging of the whole project.
The design for the signage at Hillingdon Library had to take into account the sensor for the automatic doors and also the existing illumination. At the Civic Centre SIGNARAMA used a mixture of materials. The car park signs and those displaying the opening times were made from aluminium, For the Borough’s name, acrylic lettering with a digital print applied to the outer face was used, for the crest SIGNARAMA used flat cut acrylic.
SIGNARAMA has 40 centres nationwide providing clients with a full range of sign services.
