For over 30 years GIG has designed, manufactured and installed high quality bespoke facades, window systems and brise soleil to major construction projects working nationally with Developers, Architects, Contractors, Engineers and property management companies. GIG offers bespoke service and maintenance for your façade and glazed roofing needs to all projects not only GIG supplied ones, working for developers, facilities and building management suppliers insurance companies contractors and engineers.

GIG has a skilled workforce and resources offering Planned and Reactive maintenance in addition to investigation / problem solving providing detailed reporting at all stages.

Safe systems of working are paramount, with all works undertaken by a skilled, trained, competent workforce working with the latest plant and equipment available, supervised by experienced project and site management.

All works are Project Managed to an agreed programme with specific detailed Risk Assessment and Method Statements, training matrix and equipment inspection certificates.

Gemini Data Loggers

Gemini Data Loggers designs and manufactures Tinytag, self contained and battery operated data loggers for monitoring temperature, humidity, shock, vibration and other parameters in a variety of locations.

Tinytag loggers are suitable for indoor, outdoor and underwater applications, including ATEX hazardous areas, in many industries such as environment, food, logistics, health & laboratories, agriculture, museums, compost, etc.

All Tinytags use the same Tinytag Explorer data logging software for simple configuration of the logger and later compilation and display of results for analysis. It is Window based and data can easily be exported into programs e.g. Excel and Word.

While our extensive range of off-the-shelf data loggers and probes suit most needs, Gemini can produce custom solutions where required. Tinytag hardware and software are designed and manufactured in house allowing us to be adaptable to the requirements of your application.

Gemini has an in-house calibration laboratory providing UKAS traceable certification.

Gemini Data Loggers

The Energy Saving Trust, one of the UK’s leading organisations set up to address the damaging effects of climate change, is the latest organisation to enlist Gemini Data Loggers UK.

The two companies are working together on a research project designed to maximise energy efficiency within housing schemes. The Energy Saving Trust is currently undertaking field trials of advanced heating controls in a sample of 570 residential homes using Tinytag temperature data loggers.

The overall objective of the advanced controls field trials will be to establish the level of energy savings generated by the new controls, with in-situ measurements being undertaken over an 18 month period. The loggers were posted to the households for self-installation; four non intrusive data loggers being placed in each house, three inside and one outdoor.

Later on, the loggers were retrieved for data download, again by post; the light weight, small dimensions and robustness of the logger proving advantageous in this respect. Before and after monitoring results will be compared using Tinytag Explorer software and it is anticipated that a 10% saving can be made on household energy bills.

Tinytag data loggers have been successfully used in many other building energy efficiency projects to ensure maximum comfort for occupants and to protect contents, by monitoring their HVAC system for example. The low cost, reliability factor and ease of use has also been favoured by universities, who have used the loggers on many important missions worldwide to understand the impact of global warming.

Tinytag data loggers demonstrate that they are an economic monitoring solution to many different energy efficiency missions.
