We started out life as a little business providing just a few essential services and everyday products. Now, we’ve grown in our size, services, products and reputation, becoming an established and trusted partner for businesses across the UK. When looking for a service provider, it’s difficult to find one that doesn’t use complicated buzzwords or archaic terminology to describe what they do. We keep things simple.

Dimplex
For doctors’ surgeries, dental practices, or any other healthcare or wellness business where people may need to wait for an appointment, Dimplex has all the answers for keeping customers warm while waiting, with a wide range of flexible electric heating solutions.
For a fast boost of warmth from a fan heater for high traffic areas, or a constant background heat from economical off-peak storage heaters, there’s a product for every situation, including advanced electronic control options for an integrated whole-building solution to keep a tight hold on running costs.
The WF fan convector range provides rapid response heating. A powerful 3kW maximum output and accurate thermostatic control ensure a comfortable temperature is quickly established and then maintained for economy. By drawing room temperature air in through the front panel and blowing warm air through the concealed grille underneath, the heaters set up a very effective circulation of air in the room, avoiding the wasteful ‘heat up and cool down’ cycle. The WF range is suitable for installation in a wide variety of environments and is available in either a contemporary or a more classic finish.
Fan-assisted storage can also provide a good balance between low running costs and capable performance. Although only a little larger than conventional domestic storage heaters, the Dimplex VFMi range of heaters has been designed with higher insulation levels to retain heat for longer, making them ideal for commercial situations where heat demand is often greater yet may not remain at a constant level. Their extra performance also means they make the very best use of low electric tariffs, too.
Panel heaters are also great for waiting areas as they offer a quick warm up and thermostatic control to maintain a steady temperature during use. They are also splashproof (IPX4) rated for use in bathrooms or wet areas. The EPX range has loadings from 0.5kW up to 2kW and comes with a range of optional plug-in timers, including 24 hour or run back timer which ensures the heater is not left on all day. The popular PLX range is available in loadings from 0.5kW up to 3.0kW and includes models with seven day timers, plus the PLXNC range which has no controls and is designed for use with Dimplex remote timers for additional control over energy use.
Dimplex
Dimplex real flame effect electric fires are the designers’ choice for creating instant life in reception and public areas as the flame effects can be lit without selecting heat as well as needing no flue, chimney or complicated installation.
Available in a range of styles from classic inset fires to stoves and contemporary ‘picture window’ flat to wall models, Dimplex fires are making an impression in all types of commercial premises from the executive lounges at Heathrow’s Terminal 5 to a state of the art BUPA health centre as well as internationally renowned hotels, restaurants and even in TV studios.
The Dimplex real flame effects have won awards for their realistic impression of flickering flames and this, combined with the fact that the flames can be lit with no heat, is making them a first choice for commercial interiors, says Dimplex’s Matt Kisler, product manager.
“Our fires add a special ambience to interiors, they’re so realistic that often people can’t believe it’s an illusion. They are a designer’s dream because they create a welcoming mood that doesn’t interfere with the overall room temperature, there are no fumes to create safety issues and they’re straightforward to install. If it’s a stove or inset fire, they also just plug in,” he says.
In the British Airways First class lounges at London Heathrow airport T5 buildings, the global lounge design team has created a luxury boutique hotel and opulent settings. Only premium brands and the very best of British style was used in the designs and the contemporary Dimplex Optiflame® SP9 fires with a black glass front finish are the focal points in lounge areas, set into limestone or black basalt surrounds.
A more traditional setting was required at the hotel in Portmeirion, the Italianate village and visitor attraction which was also featured in the cult TV series, The Prisoner. A major refurbishment needed to preserve the architectural integrity of the 1930s building and the classically styled inset Brookline fires were chosen with the revolutionary Opti-mystTM effect which combines flickering flames with wisps of smoke.
“The range of fires means there are umpteen options for designers looking to create a distinctive look and a welcoming ambience in any type of premises, from waiting rooms, pubs and restaurants, to hotel or business reception areas. Everyone loves a fire and with our fires, it couldn’t be easier,” adds Matt Kisler.
With over 50 electric models to choose from, ranging from contemporary to classic, and wall mounted, freestanding, inset or stove designs, the collection includes both the Optiflame and Opti-myst flame effects.
Dependent on model there is also a choice of fuel beds, including real coals and log effect. For energy saving when heat is selected, many of the designs feature a highly accurate electronic thermostat, eliminating the inefficient and uncomfortable ‘room temperature swing’ associated with some conventional thermostats. For extra energy efficiency, Dimplex now has a range of LE (low energy) fires with LED bulbs which have a running cost of only £3 per annum* in flame only mode and can last up to 55 years.
